Hey...
I was wondering if anyone could give me a quick synopsis of what this new
(Mike Inc?) labels stuff is like...I see the first 2 releases are out.

Also, I saw y'all were mentioning the 2 new Surgeon things out. Well, the
one on Dynamic Tension (East Light) is very interesting. He's going deeper
into the feelings of the sounds, and while 3 of the 4 cuts are still
dancefloor oriented Techno, he takes the stuff in some cool
directions...blowin out the bass with pulsing rhythms that kinda stops 'n
starts on one, some funky percussive marching with neat ringings joining
for a deep stepper that really hypnotizes on the second track...on the
third it's a runnin, stomper that's ok with zipbacks, not too special...the
last track is deep and sinister with a dark, dense atmosphere...almost evil
with the bassy beats deeply running with far off metallic hits...cool!

The cut of his on the new Small Sluts is a deeply atmpspheric piece with a
foreboding feel...a woman is speaking Italian (on the phone?) while long
drawn out strings and electronic meanderings sharp 'n buzz. No beats here!

Looks like he getting more and more into exploring the
beatless/experimental side of things.....I've heard this guy play live and
Dj a few times so I'm very familiar with his bangin techno side. I kinda
wasn't so shocked when I heard new stuff casue I have his Mogwai remixes.
This Sluts stuff sees him keeping the looping repetitive patterns but
adding lots more interest with sublayers and the conversation.

Thanks in advance for the Freiland info!
