uh oh - >>> From: Greg Clow <xxxxxxx@xxxxxxxx.xxx> <<< >>> While it often takes Nothing a long time to get stuff out over here (i.e. Plug), I will give them credit for the fact that they've been good about offering stuff like the Plug bonus disc or MBM's "Original Fire" which included some exclusive & rare stuff. Don't be surprised if both "Chiastic Slide" and "Hard Normal Daddy" come with bonus discs of related material ("Envane"+"C.Suite" with Ae, "Vic Acid"+"Big Loada" with 'pusher). <<< these squarepusher/autechre trx aren't exactly rarities or hard to get, but if nothing do get their hands on something that falls into either category and forces me to consider buying a dbl cd fer a couple o' tracks that i don't already have (a la plug) almost 18 months later, i won't exactly be dancing for joy. maybe. bastards (in anticipation of just such a thing happening). ideally warp would go the ninja route, and just release everything in the us simultaneously and attractively priced, and just remove the dilemma. when ninja had the instinct arrangement y'had to around 6 months but then got some nifty cheap dbl cds like those earthrise comps and funki porcini's "hed pone sex", where i preferred the more up-tempo companion cd to the original disc (likewise plug actually). but at least w/ instinct you didn't get the empire collapsing pauses before they got around to putting the thing out. is nothing positioning itself as a golden oldies label? -btw- i know all about the exploding plastic inevitable/andy warhol/velvets thing, i just wasn't sure if holmes's label had exactly the same name, and not something like exploding plastic pineapple. sorry i started this one. -martin
