This week Chicago is hosting this years National Poetry Slam (spoken word competition for those who don't know). My friends are representing Hollywood and some of 'em are staying at my place over the week. So, one of 'em asks for some instrumental hip-hop beats for his hip-hop slam performance on thursday. So, I bust out a stack o' hip-hop. He's diggin' the Mos Def, ATCQ, etc. I keep hearing him repeat "Ultramagnetic MCs" in his flows ...so methinks ...hmm... how about Gesocm's "mag" featuring that Ultramagnetic sample?
