Re: Swayzak Recordings >> www.swayzak.com >> I'd like to briefly mention this intriguing compilation on Swayzak Recordings that display's a soothing mix of dub- techno tagged with screeching acid-hooks and some very mean basslines. The minimal-techno approach of Dwayne Sodaberk's track cannot be ignored, while Theorem takes us into his own territory of bass-enriched rhythms and textures slightly changing gears from his "Ion" release on Minus. As i continue to play this release, it's nice to see that the folks at Swayzak, (including Swayzak) had enough tracks collected from their tour to compile these nice tunes. The philosophy behind this comp is that it has "a sense of travelling while listening." Personally, I think it should read the other way around, as this comp is a definite relaxation for the ears. "240 Volts" is already looking to be one of the top comp's for 2000 (in my book at least) .. >> Swayzak Recordings Presents: "Two Hundred and Forty Volts" ~ Swayzak :: Kilburn High Road ~ Roger 23 :: As The World Disappeared * ~ James S. Taylor :: Drum And Bass Fever ~ Betamax :: Unravel * ~ Theorem :: Evolve * ~ Dwayne Sodaberk :: C2FR * ~ Tavern On The Green :: Dark Duchess ~ Swayzak :: Scotland Yard * * denotes current favorite. Thanks for reading.. ; ) Pietro. ___________________________________________ p i e t r o d a s a c c o a u d i o - n i m b u s c j a m 91.5 fm saturdays from midnight - 2am EST 9745 lynngrove cr, windsor, ontario, n8r 1b8, canada g r o o v e s m a g a z i n e www.groovesmag.com
