The MC-8 was notoriously quirky and prone to crashing and wiping out all your data. I don't think there was a way to back up your sequences. I seem to remember an interview w. Suzanne Ciani and she was talking how a brief power surge or something wiped out hours of work and they had to rekey it in by hand all over again. In addition, the MC-4 allows you to input notes via an external keyboard, the MC-8 was keypad entry only. The MC-8 is certainly a rarity and probably worth having from a historical perspective, but I can't see it being 'better' than any of the other sequencers out there (old or new).
