Just to dissent, I think that "This Film's Crap, Let's Slash The Seats"
is 1000% better than "Let's Get Killed". I bought the latter album and
sold it after about a week - those vocal interludes recorded on the
street in between the tracks really annoy the hell out of me (I mean,
after hearing them once, or perhaps twice, would you REALLY like to hear
them again and again?) and many of them are part of the next track so
you can't damn well program them out. And the music is just a bit
big-beaty for me... pretty good in a lot of parts, but not enough to
outweigh the drawbacks to me.
On the other hand "This Films Crap" (yeah, the actual album title has no
apostrophes, naughty!) is just a totally legendary album. The first
track, "No Mans Land", and the last, "Coming Home To The Sun", share
musical material, and the album's worth it for these tracks alone - epic
sountrack-like stuff. Much of the album is co-produced by Kooner/Burns
of Sabres of Paradise; there are cameos from Jah Wobble on bass and
Sarah Cracknell of Saint Etienne, and indeed Keith Tenniswood (the
"other" Lone Swordsman) plays on one track too.

Don't believe the nay-sayers, this is an excellent album and deserves at
least a good listen in a shop somewhere. I'm sure you can find it
second-hand somewhere too.

Peter.
