i cant promise intelligent,
but, i feel the need to chime in here:

it seems to me that the electronic music scene, as with any music scene,
is super male dominated -- the labels, the artists, the audience.. so any
attempt to welcome in more female participants is welcome (and
encouraged!)

what i dont get is turning the whole "male-ness" of idm into a political
mess.

it seems to me that the electronic andnoise scene is the ideal
situation for "generless" music because there is so often no name/face
attached to the sounds.

so why not just encourange all those with talent to make the music,
and enjoy it? male/female/whatever.

but again, i was recently complaining that the audience for the music i
like is way too testosterone -- but please, dont turn the hopes of getting
more female involvment into a bullshit gender battle.

its not needed.

thats all

chris.
