i didn't like devine's schematic EP; it was a little too
harsh for me. but his remix of "tried by 12" sounds more
varied, and i like the mid-track tempo shift. freeform's
mix tops it, though, with alternating passages of playful
rhythms and dope beats. worth mentioning is the funkstorung
mix: it succeeds in reducing the annoyance factor of the
vocals, while retaining laid-back, street-smart beats. it's
certainly more IDM than hip-hop, but if someone elso compares
it to autechre, i'm gonna scream.

unfortunately, chris de luca's _unknown_ EP reverts away from
the mood of recent funkstorung (e.g. the above track, or side
two of sonderdienste) back to a more _post art_ type sound,
which i'm not particularly fond of. track "three" is decent,
but the others are too fast and they don't go anywhere after
the first 30 seconds. not that i could do any better...
