A-Musik is an experimental electronica label based in Koln germany. It features releases from Microstoria, FX Randomix, x@x, Wabi Sabi, Schlammpeitziger, Holsud and Phthalocyanine. The styles on this label range from experimental idm to wierd spacerock to minimal ambient to minimal techno all with it's own distinct flavor. If you're looking for a more "traditional" idm flavor then probably the FX Randomiz or the Microstoria are the releases where you should start. The A-Musik label is part of the famous Koln A-Musik record shop/distributer and has close ties with the Mouse on Mars/Soniq guys too. You can visit the a-musik website for some real audio samples as well as other related infos. http://www.a-musik.com The Karaoke Kalk label is also a Koln label. It has five records and one cd out so far by Kandis, Sauer and Senking. The styles represented buy KK are rumbling deep electronica, deep bc-ish techno, some spacey d&b and some spacious ambience too. My favorite release is the Senking cd but the Visor cd on the KK sublabel called Tom is essential too. You can visit a KK website with soundbites and infos at: http://members.xoom.com/multsanta/kk/kk2.htm Keep in mind the the above two descriptions are cursory and you should visit the websites to further explore. But hopefully i gave you a brief idea of what to expect. -->-Lance--- p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states
