Come to Daddy review follows:

In the whole, even though I love this release, I must say it's not at all
consistant in style, which I guess doesn't really matter so much depending
on how you think. the thrash type d'n'b come to daddy track and then the
totally beautiful flim and then the chilled out IZ-US and bucephalus
bouncing ball.. and then there's the "i want to fuck you up the bunghole"
vocal after funny little man.

_Come to Daddy, Pappy Mix:_

Probably will get flamed for this, but I think this track rules! :) I can't
say whether or not he's trying to make fun of the Prodigy's new stuff, or
even (it sounds like maybe he could be directing it at marylin manson?)
anyhow, it's a really great track. He makes his synths sound like a
distorted guitar, etc. but he also did a very similar sound to this in
Schmart on Joyrex J9. this track would go very well with Joyrex J9, at least
that's the way I hear it.

One question: Does anyone know why in the lyrics on WarpNet it says that it
says "Come to mummy" when in fact it never does?

_Flim:_

This is one of the most beautiful tracks I've ever heard from anyone.
Totally brilliant, and it is not repetative at all.

_Come to Daddy, Little Lord Faulteroy Mix:_

This is a track that would go well on a future Hangable Auto Bulb. Abstract
beats, just like in Hangable Auto Bulb 1, with very little signs of melody,
the only thing remotely like a melody would be the monotone one about 1/4
the way through, where he plays with volume and cuts the track volume off
and on on each of the attacks. the 'coin drop' snare thing in the middle of
the track is absolutely brilliant, especially once it kicks in with
everything else. Richard played this track when I saw him in DC and that
part just made everyone stop dancing. Once you think about it and count the
beats and subdivisions you'll see that it is dancable after all, and it IS a
4/4 beat. I remember when I heard it in DC I laughed when everyone stopped
dancing :)

For all you Atari2600 fans out there, near the end of this track, there's a
sound that sounds EXACTLY like the refuel/energise sounds used in Megamania,
Seaquest and I think River Raid? Atari sounds are so simple he could have
easily did them hisself, but it's still interesting. If it is a sample, it's
played at a faster rate than it was recorded at.

_Bucephalus Bouncing Ball:_

I feel this is a totally new direction for RDJ. This track is unlike
anything I've heard from him before; It almost has a hiphop feel to it, and
it's just absolutely laid back. The "dirty little boy" vocal is quite silly,
but I don't think it takes away from the track. While on the subject of
vocals, I think the "watching the water flow past in the canal" wonderfully
goes along with the feel and mood of the track. The "hearing the birds
singing" vocal doesn't do it for me as well as the water one. If I were to
pick the best track on this EP, it would be a tie between this track and
Flim.

_To Cure a Weakling Chile, Contour Regard:_

This track is pretty cool, but the original is a lot better to me. This
seems like it's highly watered down and cheesy'd up. maybe this was done for
the Orange commercial? not sure. it's still nice though.

_Funny Little Man:_

Richard D. James meets Jimi Tenor.. hah it's all I can say. This track is
so funny. it's the funkiest as RDJ has ever been I'll tell ya. pure funk to
my ears.

I would like to fuck you up the bunghole and something then cut your cock
off and stuff it in my mouth, and chew them up with something. (i thought i
was hearing a different version of milkman when I heard "I would like," heh)

_Come to Daddy, Mummy Mix:_

This is the track from the Big Day Out gig in Australia. it's fucking
wicked. I'd hoped it would be on Come to Daddy ever since I heard it was
coming out. some abstract beats again, but also some very definite
drum'n'bass grooves. Again, the atari type sound at the end, but this time
it's going down in frequency.

_IZ-US:_

Another track with a hiphop feel. This track is another brilliant one like
Bucephalus Bouncing Ball. Again, I can't say I've ever heard RDJ do anything
like this before.
