I picked up a nice little local 7" in Birmingham at the weekend by Wisdom of Harry which will probably appeal to many on the list - one side has those familiar shifting layers of tapping beats with some nice melodies over the top which the release notes describe as falling "...between the bony beats of Autechre and the dystopian images of Kieslowski" (though it has a stronger sense of melody than Ae), while the flip sounds like the beginning of one of those sinister sounding drum and bass tracks without the drum and bass! Initial copies have some unusual inserts of Eastern Bloc stamps, magazines and newsreels too. If anyone is interest in getting this then you need to send a £2.75 cheque to G.Dolman, 29 Poplar Road, Dorridge B93 8DD. I bought my copy at Plastic Factory, Birmingham, and Rough Trade have also listed it. BABY DIDDY ___________________________________________ "Stupid dance music"
