(idm) Source Direct 'Capital D/Enemy Lines'; Hokusai 'Cold/Divine'

Got a couple of new Source Direct 12"s recently. Here's my take:

Source Direct 'Capital D/Enemy Lines' - A side starts off menacing then goes into a
break (can anyone ID this? apache?) that loops for pretty much the duration of the
tune. OK in terms of setting a mood but a bit too repetitive - breaks could be cut
up a bit more. AA is equally paranoid, buzzing horn-like stabs and slow voices
coming in and out while a bell cup ride cymbal driven break runs a frantic trail
through the mix. Perfect chase scene music.

Hokusai 'Cold/Divine' - A is half horror theme and half dark jazz; sinister
synth-bell and string sounds play an eerie refrain while washes of filter-swept
clavichord and dirty Rhodes chords appear and trail off in a reverbed distance.
Think B-grade horror theme meets "Bitches Brew" to get an idea of this track
stylistically. AA is kind of dark too, featuring a filtered synth bass, distant
string pads, and a mix of amen and bell-cup breaks.

All in all two decent releases if you're into the SD/Photek/Hidden Agenda style.
