My older sister bought me Fats Domino's "Hello Josephine" when I was young. I also
remember being given the task of choosing a 45 for myself on several occasions - on
one of them I got The Everly Brothers' "Walk Right Back". Having an older sister and
brother, a lot of the better top ten stuff was already in their coffers. Graduating
to full record albums was somewhat of a milestone - I recall having to argue with my
parents about spending my money received as a birthday gift on one, which would have
been "Meet the Beatles".
