>Recently a friend of mine sent a demo to Mike P. and then got a call back >saying that the tracks are nice, but they aren't ready for release yet, but >that music (at least IMHO) is WAY better than that track from Mealtime, and >definitely as good as the other stuff that's out there. It all goes back to my old theory about how the big guys are trying to repress (that's REPRESS, like repression, not re-press like when you make more of a record) any up & coming talent that might be able to compete with them. See, RDJ tried to do it to Mike P when he was on rephlex. So he left, and started his own label, and said, "hey, now I see what Richard's doing. By releasing stuff like those Like-A-Tim remixes and that X-Asp record, and holding my Bluff Limbo in storage for years, he's making his OWN work seem better." So, now Mike is doing the same thing. ;) noah ..now, I know that if those guys didn't want anyone else's music out there, they wouldn't have started record labels. I'm just being silly. I'm sure Aphex Twin and Mu-Ziq aren't quite that devious in real life.
