Yeppers, I have the Japanese version that came out a few months back. Would have replied sooner but was out of town. (Can you believe that Knoxville, TN doesn't have a good record store?? Go figure! ;) It is remixes/live/new tracks, and they are all quite good. Much better than _Let Us Play_, which was quite dissapointing to me. Some are a bit less incredible than may have been hoped (for instance the new track with Grandmaster Flash), but some are also better than expected (the Cornelius mix!). Plus the _Tale of Miss Virginia Epitome_, as told by Salena Saliva is quite humourous. VJAMM is hundreds of times more fun than the stuff that was thrown on to _Let Us Play_. The demo only lets you use Coldcut vid/sound clips, but even with that limitation it is still fun. Think of EBN type stuff. The full program would be a nice toy, but my budget would probably never allow it (specially since as a schoolteacher it really isn't needed). PROBLEM::I got the Japanese version as it has several remixes that the US version doesn't. Unfortunately that means that the US version also has several remixes that the Japanese version lacks. I was hoping that the vinyl that was to preceed that release would include those mixes so I wouldn't have to buy the entire thing again, but.... (BCrayon listed a 7" and 10" this week, supposedly both with "exclusive remixes", but the remixers are from the Japanese and US cd. These are silly limited to 225 copies.) Can't remember off hand what the exclusive remixes are, but I think the US ones are Kristian, Fader, Purdue, Swincoe, Sychopants and Craig ... while the Japanese ones are Shut Up and Dance, Takemura, Sunahara, Sakamoto, Takahashi w/ Die 2, and Haruomi Hosono. Perhaps a someone who buys the US copy will wish to trade a MiniDisc with me so that we could both have all the mixes without feeling cheated into buying the same release twice?? [Too often NinjaTune does this...exclusive tracks on one format that aren't on the other and vice-versa. Annoying to say the least.] --- Peace Hugs and Unity Jason J. Tar W. W. J. D?
