I think my "problem" (and it's _my_ fault) with Squarepusher's current material is that I'm not sufficiently conversant with his muses (Miles Davis / Herbie Hancock etc) to instantly lock on to this genre. Very Spinal Tap "Hope you like our new direction" .... POLES apart and diametrically blasted off from my beloved Beep Street, the track that had life transforming qualities for me :-) For what it's worth, JockeySlut has just awarded Rotted Note 4.5 stars out of 5.
