Or at least not all of them were. Not long after I got the album, I was watching an episode of Taxicab Confessions, this great documentary series where people are filmed in taxis with a hidden camera. One segment features this scary dude with a stars 'n' stripes bandana ranting about beating the shit out of someone in a bar brawl, or something to that effect. And wouldn't you know it, but excerpts of this guy's rant appear on "Let's Get Killed" as one of Holmes' supposed "field recordings" from the streets of NYC. Don't get me wrong, I still like the music on the disc fine. But this sort of made me wonder how many of the interludes Holmes actually got from "real life", and how many he scooped from other sources. Greg
