Geez...I wish I could recall what I had by them before my vinyl purge.
After the breakup I followed the career of Holger Hiller most closely,
but I loved Andreas Dorau's "Demokratie", too. Wildly different paths.
You can still find Holger's stuff on cd if you really dig...I recommend
the two-in-one cd featuring "Oben Im Eck...", also "Demixed" and "As
Is". "Little Present" is also really nice - especially if you've visited
Japan (it's made from a collage of life-in-Japan samples. I think Holger
had a child with a Japanese woman and this was an audio story detailing
a visit. LP is QUITE different than the others). The first one I
mentioned is the earliest and very dark, cacophonic - even by today's
standards. The other two are more electronic and modern, but don't let
that scare you off from the earlier one. Vox on all, but not
distracting. Good stuff...ask laerm.
