In 96, I asked Germ's Tim Wright for info on what he was working on and
he'd mentioned Roupe (remixed on the ep and full-length cd) and I found it
pretty nice stuff, though really hard to find (is Resource Rec still
around?). I like the full-length cd on Resource (from NY) label, though
the EP does cover the main highlights of the cd. Roupe has recorded for
some other label before these releases, but I can't remember the name, I
just remember that Germ recorded as Pin. Roupe's programming is really
smooooth; the Dot EP has more of a Herbie Hancock funk sound -- more
straightforward beats.
