to set the record straight... All our releases are packaged and presented the same way worldwide. Every once in a while there is a slight differnece with tracklisting due to production lead times (ie. our office and our Japanese liscensee have longer production times, so sometimes the UK version might include a mix or track that was delivered late or something), but mostly everything is the same. The confusion here is that before we opened a domestic office (as in America/Canada), Ninja stuff was licensed thru Instinct/Shadow. They had an incredibly annoying habit of using different artwork, changing tracklistings, and changing titles of records (ie. 'Funkjazztricknology' became 'Earthrise Ninja 2', etc...). Apparently they knew better than the artist how to compile a good sounding record. It was pretty shit, as we would get complaints from people who bought both versions thinking they were getting 2 different records. Of course they would quite rightly assume we were scamming them when we weren't. Anyway, those nightmare days are behind us now. Everything comes out world wide on the same day now (with the exception of Japan where it usually comes out a bit earlier). Today we're mostly happy because : we own the rights to our records worldwide and Seagrams deciding to buy record companies does not affect our employment status or our release schedule for the new year.
