Well, i went and did it.
I decided to venture out and check out the New Virgin Megastore
that opened up recently here in Chicago. Well, the
techno/electronica/jungle section was mostly filled with the
well-knowns (Talvin Singh, Plastikman, Juno Reactor, etc) and not
many hard to find things. Also, the prices were predictably
corporate: 15.99, 16.99, or 17.99$ for EVERYTHING, no matter
were it came from. Imports went even higher. The Plastikman
album Japan import with the extra Live CD was priced at 39.99$!

But i have to be fair, i did find one thing that i'd been
wondering about, Endemic Void's full-length "Equations" on
Language Records. Well, damn, i'm pretty blown away by this
album. Not owning any Omni Trio material (i've heard the bulk
of it from shum chums of mine) I have to say that the particular
body of sounds used in Endemic's "Equations" is similar, but man
the actual percussion patterns occasionally reach a dumbfounding
level of complexity. The songs themselves range from Loungey to
Darkside, some uplifting (Hydrosphere), some melancholy (Turn Da
Tide), and pretty much all of them i found impressive. I was
hoping for a more trance/space breakbeat fusion, like the track
they remixed for Laswell's Oscillations Remixes (that track still
floors me), but heck i'll settle for this. For now. What i want
to know is, is their Whole World EP on Language Records similar to
the lounge style? Also, what other material do they have out
        there?
