No, I expect most people have thought this at some point.

Not really - they (myself included) were just pointing out problems in
the system which may liked to be ironed out next year (at cspots
discretion). Most people added on their mails that they though cspot
was doing an excellent job under difficult circumstances (ie complaints
that the poll wasn't working for a lot of people). Compiling the IDM
poll is pretty much a thankless task, but IMO it's not excuse to go
sulking off like this. And as far as I can tell, it *is* sulking off. If
there was any personal reason why the poll could not be compiled, then
obviously that is fair enough, but to my knowledge, he has not
disappeared and is just lurking on the list. How much effort would it
take to post a short couple-of-line message to IDM informing the list of
whats going on? Plenty of people have asked, so it's not like there
hasn't been an opportunity. I dunno, maybe this explanation is
forthcoming. I hope so. Lack of information causes misunderstandings and
conflict, so c'mon, lets hope we find out what the hell is going on,
even if it's just a surly ("yes, the poll is being compiled" or "no, I
didn't see the point"). I'm trying hard not to be patronising, but
remember, it's a small percentage of the voters who were complaining, so
to not compile the results would be an insult to those who voted without
comment.
