Interesting.

The jack output looks fairly direct, through an output resistor, plus a cou=
ple of resistors as a voltage divider which can be switched in to give lowe=
r level output settings.

The XLR output goes through an opamp to create the inverted side of the bal=
anced waveform, then through a transformer, before the XLR socket.
