Anyone into IDM should listen carefully to the b-side of "Scream Down..." 12" from '82, a track called "Cucumber..(something)" that is in 5/4 and has a strange melody. Not sure what led them to make this track, but I'd sure like to pick through a midi file of it. "African and White" (esp 12" remix '82) has great percussion and exotic arrangement of synths. > intelligent also. Takes me back. New Gold Dream anyone? Eh, the instrumentals maybe, as I can't stand the arena-rock that crept into SMinds after their quirky years. I don't think having Herbie Hancock on that lp really helped. solenoid
