Of course he mentioned Autechre. no chance in hell he'd actually play it, eh? what a concept that'd be! a dj who can _decide what to play on his show_! commercial radio stations do that a lot: talk about someone 'hip', without even playing anything by them. some perverse way to look like you're in the know while 'satisfying' a lemming audience with britney spears' & cher's antics. fortunately you can tell by how badly they know their stuff: '...the band squarepusher with their new nothing album _music has one rotten note_...' somehow, everytime i think of commercial radio, i'm instantly bitter. -- david turgeon at http://www.notype.com
