Funny you should ask that, as I just got my hands on two records by Riou
Tomata (or just RIOU) that Invisible is reissuing in the US quite soon.

Fans of all minimalist dance music take note: this is pretty damn
excellent. Noisy yet incredibly fragile, kind of like plastikman but
_sooo_ much better (and a fuck of a lot more abrasive, too). As mentioned
already, _incredibly_ minimal, yet somehow manages to really groove at
times, even without the help of "notes." (notes? who needs real notes?)

There are two albums, Exhibition of the Samples and Pops. I know both got
a lot of critical acclaim in Europe and in Japan; I prefer Exhibition ever
so slightly, however.
