np has been nothing but a positive thing for me. I've seen it on 10-20 music
lists I've subbed and unsubbed from over the years.

I don't see it as either a bragging or a bullshitting thing.
I np what I'm actually np'ing and *not* what is the trend of the day.

If someone np's "Twoism" either they really are listening to it or they're
insecure and are trying to impress any given list.

I really don't try to read into it. I don't care for much on this list ( or
any other music list )
much other than music anyways.

In many instances I've learned a lot by following up on what a lister is
playing
or perhaps seeing a trend in what people are now playing. Also on occasion
someone
nps a recording from long ago that may remind me to relisten to it.

Perhaps the reponses to this thread will confirm that *many* people value it.

Also, to say "I'm sure no-one gives a toss" in:re np'ing reads as well with
*any* opinion
on this list...a la : " no-one gives a toss about Autechre, Aphex, SKAM,
MASK, vvm, blah
blah blah".

I have to know, why oh why do people put a "now playing" as a final
point.
WHO CARES!!!
no one can hear what you are listening too and quite frankly I'm sure
no-one gives a toss, its just another bit of wankery wank that is
"coooooooool" isn't it.
