hi >> Any opinions on Si Begg's "Commuter World"?? >>Looks interesting . . . >> intriguing track titles anyway I'm listening to it right now, and have been for the past few weeks. The album is ahem "London Underground-related" in that you get loads of samples of urban transport noise, and that's reflected in the track titles too. Some of it might sound really familiar to (also temporary) Londoners. Si Begg is a funky man. I absolutely love his Planet EP under the Cabbageboy moniker. Commuter world is in parts discontinuous (?), quirky, but you get the same funky/kitsch synthlines heard elsewhere in his work and the pulse for some good beats too. A good album, in my opinion. >I own a few things he's done and if you've not listened to Bunkfunk 3000 LP, you >should! If anyone has any Buckfunk 3000 stuff he'd like to get rid of, please mail me. >thanks, didn't know of this thing. >gilly Commuter world is on Caipirinha (www.caipirinha.com) (sitting back) nd ///////////////////////////////////////////////////// http://www.tinet.ch/table table homepage - swiss idm and multimedia http://www.geocities.com/Paris/Rue/1087/MUSICA.HTM records for sale/trade etc. WELEASE WODGER! /////////////////////////////////////////////////////
