There are two great starting releases for carl craig material.
Both of them are compilations of sorts compiling tracks from
many of his early 12"s and comp appearances. The two  are:

. 69: The Sound of Music cd (R&S/Planet E)
. Psyche/BFC: Elements cd (Planet E)

It's somewhat similar in that if you like the Carl Craig
material you won't be disappointed with Ian's Ferox cd.
