a few new items of relevence to those who may care (plus a ? at the end)

--

Jim O'Rourke's new Moikai label seems to be shaping up nicely, and it's
surprisingly much more idm-ish than one would expect. The first two
releases are available this week. M1 is a re-press of Nuno Canavarrow's
"Plux Quba" LP, which was originally released in 1988 on Portugeese label,
AMA ROMANTA. Apparantly it has had a big influence on the A-Musik peeps,
and is in a similar odd vein (i'll try and post a full review later). M2 is
the US CD version of Lithops' "UmiUnit", originally released earlier this
year on Sonig. Lithops is the first solo album from Jan Werner (1/2 of
mouse on mars) and was talked here to death when the LP. Those of you
who've been holding out for a domestic, or those who don't have vinyl use-
now's your chance. Also planned on Moikai is a re-press of long out of
print (and long sought after, in my case), Mego004, which is Christian
Fennez's "Insturment" LP.
