Well, I'm usually _NOT_ buying compilations; this one was the only exception
this -eh, last- year... so guess what I voted for... and... I can't say I was
disappointed.
* The AFX/Squarepusher collaboration simply rocks
* I liked the BoC track more than their album
* The Broadcast track was the only of their tracks I found to like (judging by
the RealAudio samples on the WARP site)
* The Plaid track didn't do much for me, but then again, so does(n't) Plaid
(I love The Black Dog, though...)
* Autechre's "Stop Look Listen" is still one of my fave tracks; take note that
I'm currently working at their backlog of releases :)
* Nightmares On Wax' "Fishtail Parker" is their only track I know, but it sure
is fun (NOW recommendations, anyone?)
* "Wear My Bikini" == "Jimi Tenor" // 'nuff said :) (Ok, so I'm a fan...)
* Plone's "Plaything" is more fun than their "Plock EP"...
* "4 Dead Monks" is the only Red Snapper track I like (again judging by the
RealAudio; can't get into their vocals...)
* Mira Calix' track is nice; I think I really should pick up "Pin Skeeling"...
* The 2 Lone Swordsmen track, compared to "Stay Down" and "A Bag Of Blue
Sparks", is dull, tho, and, last and least...
* Mark Bells "ASTTPWSFY"... err... let's just say LFO works better for me...
Well, 'nuff said, I think... :)
