yup. the sampledelic genius took a bog standard warp (jungle) bass lifted
from some X-Static Goldmine sample disc, and pitched it up and down on the
keyboard in Chomp Samba. that kinda stood out hey. well with all this talk
about bad production, how about ye olde ye olde I-IV-V-II (or close to that)
note & string progression that gets flogged to death in every *pop* genre
of music such as rock, punk, idm, and d'n'b? it's maybe like everybody gets
shot in the head with pop sensibilities when they're young, and don't really
notice that what sounds `right' is just an echo from the constant and 
relentless reinforcement through radio, television, and John Williams
soundtracks. now you're happy. now you're sad. now you're a little wistful.
repeat ad nauseum and claim ignorance (do not pass go)..
