Here's an interesting article for those of you who are familiar with the
beats of rapper Timbaland.
He sounds fishy to me. It's not like denying you had sex with an intern
or anything...

Timbaland Discusses His Hip-Hop Meets Drum N' Bass Roots

Timbaland, aka Tim Mosely, is probably best known as the superstar
producer behind tracks from such artists as Missy Elliott, Ginuwine and
Aaliyah -- but Timba has also drawn praise for his work in front of the
mike with fellow rapper, Magoo.

Timbaland takes center stage with his just-released first solo album,
"Tim's Bio," and the rapper's inventive use of beats and rhythms has left
some critics and fans wondering if his sound has been influenced by the
Brit-styles of drum n' bass and jungle dance music. In an interview with
MTV recently, Timbaland offered his own take on such musical sourcing.

"The world [has] asked me 'do I know about jungle and bass'," Timbaland
said, "and I don't know nothing about no jungle and no bass and drums.
All I know about is Timbaland drums and its bass. I don't know nothing
about no jungle and bass. It never crossed my mind. It was just something
that I was doing, I was playing around with and I just stuck with it for
'The Devil and the Beats,' but that's something that I did like 6 years
ago." [28.8 RealVideo]

Timbaland has already finished work on Ginuwine's next album, the
follow-up to 1996's "The Bachelor," which is due out in February 1999,
and also plans to head back into the studio soon to start cutting new
albums with Aaliyah and Missy Elliott.
