welcome to the newsletter for the carpark family of labels! =20 down below you will find out what's up with carpark, acute and paw tracks this month. =20 paw-tracks avey tare and panda bear from the animal collective are in europe! fat cat records in england was nice enough to fly the boys over for a few shows in france, belgium and the UK. here are the dates in addition to some new york shows later this month: =20 may 1st - Belgium - Hasselt - Kunstencentrum Belgie may 6th =96 France, Bordeaux, Zoo Bizarre may 10th - Brighton, Gardner Arts Centre=20 also live appearances at the smallfish and rough trade shops in london. may 21st - New York, North Six may 25th - New York, Tonic =20 we are putting the finishing touches on a massive six week avey tare and panda bear/ogurusu norihide US tour which should start around july 1st. if you want to help us please get in touch! there will also be a record release party for "here comes the indian" (released on paw tracks june 17th) with the black dice sometime toward the end of june. =20 look out for a fat cat split 12" featuring avey tare and david grubbs. fat cat will also be reissuing the animal collective's first two records "spirit they've gone spirit they've vanished" and "danse manatee" this fall. =20 for more info about "here comes the indian" and other tidbits please check out <http://www.paw-tracks.com>www.paw-tracks.com =20 acute glenn branca's legendary "the ascension" will be getting the reissue treatment this june. the recording has been remastered by weasel walter (flying luttenbachers et al), lee ranaldo has written superb liner notes, we've included a rare video of glenn branca performing solo guitar at jeffrey lohn's (of theoretical girls) soho loft in 1978, AND we have added some never-before-seen robert longo artwork. this reissue will definitely set the record straight. check out <http://www.carparkrecords.com/branca.html>www.carparkrecords.com/branca.htm l or <http://www.acuterecords.com>www.acuterecords.com (new site coming soon!) for more info. =20 glenn branca is playing in cambridge massachusetts at tt the bears (<http://www.ttthebears.com>www.ttthebears.com) on may 9th! =20 carpark marumari continues planning events and projects for their <http://www.landarts.org>www.landarts.org foundation. june 13th they will host a live event in the boston area. their compilation cd will feature such artists as mum, dj spooky, portastatic, the clientele, to rococo rot, casino versus japan, stars as eyes, greg davis and more! =20 ogurusu norihide will tour the US for six weeks with the animal collective. dates should be on the website next month. =20 greg davis and ogurusu norihide are featured on a new compilation called "grounded sound" on grounded records. =20 so takahashi is reforming his band with friend and artist tam ochiai. they are opening for DAT politics at tonic in new york on may 11th. =20 new carpark website should be up very soon! =20 dinky is heading to europe in a couple weeks. she will be touring europe literally all summer from mid may to mid august. we are also trying to bring dinky back to the states for a tour in the fall. more details soon. =20 dinky european tour so far: May 16th - Berlin Tresor* May 17th - Dresden Scheune + Sonig Label night May 21st - K=F6ln Studio 672 May 22nd - Dortmund Cosmotopia May 23rd - Berlin Bastard + Bleed + Chlo=E9 May 24th - Frankfurt/M.
