LA Dreamers Review? > > CT > jesus christ, ct -- did your girlfriend dump you last nite or something? i haven't seen such an outpouring of bile on this list since trent reznor bought the us rights to the warp catalog. as someone who makes a living writing about music (and, incidentally, as a former card-carrying shop steward with the united auto workers of america), lemme just say that yeah, i expect to get fairly compensated when i write for a publication that's making money off my labor. but i'm also aware that plenty of publications i write for only got off the ground because there were a lot of eager writers willing to donate their work until the magazine/newspaper became a viable concern (at which point they had every right to demand remuneration). also, there are plenty of publications that _never_ make money, and only exist because the people who produce it are in love with the idea of communicating their enthusiasms to others. i wish i was still young and idealistic enough to pour my energies into something like that, but i sure don't resent those who are. why do you? go piss on someone else's parade. jeff
