Hello. I'm bored, so thought I'd start an anal thread (which, come to think of it, does sound like a particularly painful piece of medical equipment). So, who's got some long-winded, convoluted and tedious theories on any perceived differences between Gescom and Autechre's sound? My own theory is a simple one -- the Gescom material sounds like the rough demos that eventually become Autechre tracks. Or, to look at it another way, all tracks start off life as Gescom tracks, but only the ones that are polished, edited and mangled to within an inch of their life become Autechre tracks. Let the navel contemplation begin. -- Mark Stevens http://www.sonance.demon.co.uk/
