Bionic in HB: really good cd section actually. I've pulled a few gems
out of the used bin. About 80% of the time they have UK releases the day
they are released in the UK, so if you are looking for that new
Stereolab CD or Warp thingy call on that Monday (unless I beat you to
it, bastard).
Noise: hopeless 'can't be bothered' staff that could all use a good
shower and a shave. Try calling and asking if they have something for a
laugh. Excellent selection of stuff though. They had the Bola 7" in the
other day, and you can find great used stuff as well. Only store in OC
with a Moog viynl section I reckon, that alone makes it the best.
If you want to be really hardcore (like me) you can go shopping for
oldschool viynl across the way from Noise, at that store on the other
side of Harbor (forget what its called). I have found some fucking
awesome records there. Kraftwerk, Paul Hardcastle, Herbie Hancock,
Tomita - some good shit. One time I was djing at Nightnoise and I
couldn't find my copy of Future Shock so I stoped by on the way there
and bought a pristine one for $3. I'll be there tonite actually, see if
you can spot me.
