I find it ironic that all the releases by Skam and Mask have acrewed so much
value. Remembering when they were new at like $10 each and now seeing what
they go for such a short time later. Some bring in an insane amount (Masks,
Lego Feet) and Andy and Skam don't get anymore out of it. $500 for a 12" and
all Skam got was their $4 or whatever. He must know and never bothered to
repress any, but Gescom, so he proves he's not in it for the money.
I also laugh at Markant, who tried to follow Mask and press extremely small
amounts and give no label or artist info to try to create hype. Short of a
little initially Markant fell flat on his face. And that label/artist will
probably never recover. And I hear much mentin of V/Vm. They are working
towards another Makant mistake, releasing way too much too often. They have
like eight 7"ers coming out in January and in an email from them they said
they have 50 planned 7"ers for 99. They will burn out quick if you ask me.
Besides, I HATE 7"ers. I wish they'd go back to 12s or press CDs. Just some
thoughts.
