Go get it ... yep, you're right on the money there. this album is just plain brilliant. it's got a lot of that plateau/off and gone vibe to it (no surprise as philth is becoming more and more heavily involved with download). i actually like it more than the plateau stuff, which i think on the whole tended to work better as background music. this album has a lot more variety in the rhythms (the first track has an indescribably funky breakbeaty/electro feel to it), and the melodies have that soaring evolutionary quality that made the off and gone album so amazing. i'm also glad they dropped the skinny puppy wannabe vocals. i'm sure fans of harshness are pissed that mark spybey left the group but i vastly prefer the more solidly techno direction they're taking now. III is easily the most coherent and enjoyable download album to date. get it today! i also picked up the download "Charlie's Family" cd for cheap, haven't even had a chance to listen to it yet since III has been so relentlessly compelling. now if only i could find the new eat static album i could rest easy. -- Jon Drukman xxx@xxxxxxxx.xxx SpotMedia Communications ...I was an infinitely hot and dense dot...
