I experience something very similar when listening to 'Onko' by
Mika Vainio. He uses what sound like static electric discharges in
an early part of the track and later on those clicks you describe
appear. It's deadly quiet and then some really high pitched clicks
come in (obviously it's much more than I can describe). The music (?)
really tests your stereo's transient high pitch abilities, and you
feel the clicks more than you hear them on a good system.
