On Richard D. James: What crap he's been putting out for the last two years? Are you denying the crap he put out before that? Aphex was never THAT great to begin with, he just gets lots of cred for being really good at the one thing he does: Modal, over-compressed symphonic hard techno and occasionally good beatless accidents. Not that I don't like it, but I just don't see that his output quality has changed, overall, since SAW I. Perhaps we should be criticizing him for not expanding his repertoire or sonic palette for the past ten years instead. Well, except for switching sampled children's songs with plain old sampled speech (computer synthesized or otherwise). Tom
