There is no nurse with wound "sound." There is a NWW "feel," sometimes, that you may begin to recognize running through all their music. But it ain't always there. The next most simple answer: buy them all (except maybe Merzbild Schwet and Chance Meeting... and the 150 murderous passions with whitehouse, if you're hoping to avoid early/noisy stuff. There's another you should avoid whose name escapes me.) The answer you want: I haven't heard sugar fish drink or rock and roll station, but I will attest to the excellence of the others (I like Soliloquoy a bit more, but it's kind of like apples and oranges). Also the new one (which, funnily, I am listening to right now) Acts of Senseless Beauty, is quite excellent. Very surreal ambience with violins... some tribal drums once or twice. And a joke "extra" track of dub reggae with helium children voices that I for one think is just the perfect ending. The disc w/Stereolab, Crumb Duck, which in it's CD form is 3 mid-period NWW tracks, one vaguely nww touched stereolab track, and one totally nww fucked stereolab track, is amazing as well. So is the Sylive and Babs disc - tape cutups and manipulations, if you like that kind of thing. So is, in short, everything I have ever heard with the words "nurse with wound" printed on it somewhere. --- the humble abbott arthur purvis set his hand hereto
