So Greg didn't make it.

He wasn't the only one.

Ritual Events can lick my nutsack...This is the second time they've
fucked up what could have been a great event in my eyes.

Although the joint was at the end of my street, due to not knowing the
opening time (thanks again Ritual) and a small accident involving a
bong, Lisa and I rolled down to tempest about 9:30. Sounds pretty
early? Yes?

Well, there's a big line full of hollywood industry scumbags (you know,
black blazer, shirt tucked in, taper cut jeans, cowboy boots...). It
looks like they're turning people away and we finally get almost to the
head of the line. The hipster chicks in front of us spent 15 minute
convincing the door guy they *really* need to get it, but alas it's sold
out.

Guest list & presale tickets only.

The door opens, it looks like there's about 10 people there - plenty of
room.

lisa: 'Fuck this bullshit, let's go'
me : 'no, I'm going to run game on the gork at the door'
lisa: 'you're an asshole. Do whatever you want'
me : 'ok...hi, my name is John Buttswooley,
'I'm on Jerry Finkelsteins list...you know,
the head of Luke's record label, Big Buds Inc?'
'He emailed me guest list conformation today'
Meathead: 'Can't find your name or his list. Sorry, but it's sold out'

I know it wasn't *the* coolest thing to do, but I thought I was pretty
sincere looking, at least as smooth as you can look whilst completely
fucked and reeking of bongwater and Old Grand-Dad whiskey.

What else could you expect from one of luke vibert's biggest fans and
probably the only idiot in LA who ownes every single record/remix he's
ever put out?

So we walk home.

Fast Forward to 12:30...We jump into lisa's bass producing machine (aka
the Vibraton Jettus Maximus) and head down to The Psychedelic Shack.
Walk in the door and we're greeted to the following sight:

Ed on the decks, not a soul to be see otherwise, looking a little
demented, but still smiling!

Lisa jumped on the turntables and I had a fun night chilling with Ed,
drinking and talking about neuroscience and candle making. Then Shin
shows up from the vibert/krush thing and played some records. An hour
passes and some of shins friend arrive, one of which with records.

So now, it's 5 dj's, 3 cute girls who came with one of the dj's and some
drunk old guy who wandered in with a guitar and a bob dylan song book.

The dj's won.

By now, it's close to 3am and not a soul has drifted in the door from
the nether regions (namely, tempest), which was good because i would
have had to kill any lost hipsters that might have snuck in.

Alas, I had to be in court this morning so we went home.

End of story.
