I was listening to Radio 1 last night to mary-anne hobgoblin. She played a track without announcing it. I thought it sounded like some mainstream electronic group had taken on board a fair bit of old Aphex and a pinch of Autechre's bouncing ball sound, and put together an interesting but slightly derivative tune. Then she announced that it was Window Licker. Imagine my surprise! I don't know what this says about aphex's recent output, I was just interested in my reaction to the track before I knew who it was. mat
