An idm-listmember was asking about gamelan music. I don't know much about it, but would anyone else classify the new Indonesian Soundscapes as gamelan music? There are loads of really odd samplings, from crickets, to chickens, to people shouting out in chants of some sort. I can't really describe it as it bares no resemblance to anything I've heard before. If anyone wants this or would like more info, email me off-list and we'll sort something out.. Thanks..
