>Let us not forget the more appealing _Dog Leg Left_ by Wally and DJ (or= =0A>not) Swingsett. It was put out by Ubiquity and was one of last year'= s=0A>better forays into abstract beats land. =0A=0AThis is one of those = albums that I pick up and look at every time I'm in the=0Astore. I liste= ned to a lot of it instore once, and it reminded me of Vibert's=0Abig Sou= p, except much better=97a mix of abstract hiphop, space dub, weirdness, a= =0Akiller DnB track or two, and other stuff. I later heard some of the a= lbum=0Aagain at a lower volume and wasn't as impressed, so I don't know q= uite what to=0Athink. I've heard decent things about Genetic flaw, but a= lso that it's weird=0Afor the sake of being weird. Also heard that his s= ingles are better than his=0Aalbums=97he has tracks on a lot of the Liqui= d Sky/Home Entertainment comps=0A=09Info on Wally: Yeah, he's part of th= e NYC scene, originally from Russia or=0Asomething. Sort of a crossover = between the more ambient/illbient stuff-dub,=0Aetc., and the jungle scene= . He often tagteams with Swingsett (David Winsett I=0Athink). Very good= live=97they'll mix jungle with Send in the Clowns, and do=0Aother dancef= loor stoppers, which often relegates them to the back room where=0Apeopl= e aren't dancing. IMO the most interesting dance-oriented djs in the=0AL= iquid Sky/HomeEntertainment scene. They have a track on deep Concentrat= ion=0Aon OM, believe it's called Centurion Space Bass or something.=0A=09= On a related note, has anyone heard the new Soulslinger remix album? Wal= ly=0Adoes a mix or 2, as does 1.8.7. and other NYCers. I wanted to buy t= he=0ASoulslinger album but I heard bad things about it=97do the remixes c= ut out the=0Acrap?=0A=0ASam=0A
