I bought a handful of fancy DI's for synths. Tried them on everything.
No real difference - maybe a tiny, almost subliminal chance in
character in some cases. Using a DI to drop synths down to mic level,
then boosting them back up through colored preamps like Neve or API is
a whole other thing.
