This is my choice in no particular order:

1. squarepusher: feed me weird things : rephlex

This one is the best thing TJ has ever put out. Fantastic drum and
bass.

2. autechre: tri repetae++ : warp/tvt

First Ae I ever bought, it made me want to buy everything they had ever
recorded. Maybe it's not their best release, but I heard it first...

3. boards of canada: music has the right to children : skam/warp

Living in Canada and remembering the *boards of canada* vignettes, I
think this album is the best piece of vinyl I ever bought. Can't
describe what it does to me but like some other people said, the music
puts you back in your deepest and farest memories.

4. req: one : skint

Don't know why this one is released on Skint, it's not really their
style. Extreme lo-fi hip hop and scratches. 4-track recording,
dirty-tape samples, etc. Essential for those 4 AM parties.

5. various: skampler : skam

This one is worth the import price simply for the Bola tracks. And the
best part is that the rest is worth it too. Started a whole new bunch
of releases that sound too much alike IMHO.

The ones that almost made it:

aphex twin: selected ambient works ii : warp/sire
global goon: cradle of history : rephlex
photek: modus operandi : astralwerks
uziq: tango and vectif : rephlex?
jega: card hore (or ska009 or whatever this one's called) : skam
x-103: atlantis : tresor
various: blech ii : warp
lfo: advance : warp
plaid: not for threes : warp
flare: grip : ?
christophe de babalon: if you're into it, then i'm out of it : dhr
