} From: Frédéric Fournier } Sent: Saturday, December 12, 1998 7:57 PM } } Heard last night on university student radio.... A song that sounded very } Kraftwerk-ish, but definitely done in the 90's. There was some sort of } computer voice (not synthesized, more like a human voice with } effects) often } repeating "We are the robots" or something like that...... I know this is } very minimal for a description but I'd love to know what this was! Thanks. This could be from the CD: Basskraft - _A Bass Tribute to Kraftwerk_ on Pandisc. It came out this year and includes "Trans-Europe Express", "Autobahn", "It's More Fun To Compute", "Musique Non-Stop", "Pocket Calculator", "Computer World", "Numbers", "Home Computer", "Tour De France", "The Robots" and "Computer Love". All the tracks are very faithful to the Kraftwerk originals, but contain booming Miami bass! Recommended. I'm going to try and include a complete review of this CD in the first issue of Grooves magazine, btw. __________________________________________ E r i c F r a n s :: xxxxxx@xxxxxxxxx.xxx [cellular] http://home.earthlink.net/~efrans [so-cal idm] http://home.earthlink.net/~efrans/scidm [si-{cut}.db] http://home.earthlink.net/~efrans/benford
