Everyone adds their own touch, and those new twists recirculate. I used a program on the Amiga similar to Metasynth for many sounds in Soundtrack for "Chaos Theory in Practice" (should be out sometime but probably not next). I have also read about a Japanese artist who translated the shapes of I think Japanese characters into short (20ms?) "atoms" of sound. The process was quite involved and I can't recount it. The point is there are few -new- ideas, but many possible applications of those ideas. --Mark __ <http://www.xnet.com/~mkolmar/BurningRome> <MPEG 3 & RealAudio tracks> October 19th: SENSELESS CD on Mindfield Records MindCD03 Cathartium 14
